Why ‘Starting in January’ Keeps You Stuck

by Stephen Holt, CSCS — ACE Personal Trainer of the Year

Here at 29 Again, I love celebrating the amazing journeys of our clients, and I’m honored to have celebrated special anniversaries with some truly inspiring women who, just like you, took a brave first step this time of year.

I’m so grateful for clients like Barbara and Meredith, who just celebrated 4 years with us, Deborah, who’s reached 7, and Elizabeth—an incredible 14 years strong!

Again, they each started this time of year—when many people delude themselves into “I’ll start in January.”

And look where they are now—

Thriving, empowered, and celebrating milestones that only began because they didn’t wait.

What if YOU started today?

Picture stepping into the new year already feeling more energized, with fewer aches, greater mobility, and a deep sense of accomplishment.

Those small, manageable changes—like two strength training sessions a week—might seem simple, but trust me, they can change how you feel inside and out by January.

And when you’re celebrating with family and friends this holiday season, you’ll have the energy to enjoy every moment and the strength to meet your goals faster.

And if you’re thinking, “But I know I’ll slip up over the holidays,” that’s okay.

As your coach, we’ll handle those challenges together, because reaching your goals isn’t about avoiding obstacles but rather learning to keep moving forward, no matter what life brings.

Think of this as your gift to yourself: strength, mobility, and unshakable confidence. Picture waking up each morning and feeling the difference—stronger, more energized, and more focused.

So don’t let “January” hold you back.

It’s easy to get started. Just answer a couple of quick questions here.

With you every step of the way,
Stephen
