Yesterday, I met a woman who asked me about her mysterious recent weight gain, and everyone around chimed in about how they had gained weight after turning 45 or so despite eating and exercising exactly the same way as before.
Hmm – does that sound like you?
Of course, I told her that she clearly needed to change her eating and exercise plan – blah, blah, call me – blah, blah, free trial – blah, blah.
But she wanted instant gratification. Imagine :-)
Here’s what I told her …
Fish oil can work like magic – in the short term.
(CAVEAT: for most people most of the time)
I learned this secret when I was first certified by Precision Nutrition in 2010 then went through their coaching course twice as a client.
Here’s the OFFICIAL trick – take 1 gram of Omega-3’s for every % of body fat every day for about two weeks.

IMPORTANT:
Please consult your physician before adding more than 1 teaspoon a day to your routine. Seriously.

So if your body fat was about 30%, then you’d take 30 grams of fish oil a day. Yes, YUK!
And, of course, you’d spread out your servings over the course of the day
And, yes, your palate, stomach and the rest if your GI tract would probably have to build up to this level. Again, the whole process should take about two weeks — including the build up.
Frankly, if you’re like most women and are over 25% body fat, 25 grams of fish oil a day is probably more than you can stomach (literally).
So here’s what I suggest you do:
Talk to your doctor first. Once you get the okay, start with a 1 teaspoon 3 times a day. Gradually build up over two weeks then go to a maintenance level of 1 teaspoon a day.
I’ve seen women drop a dress size from this strategy alone. Let me know how this works for you.
If you missed it somehow …
IMPORTANT: Please consult your physician before adding more than 1 teaspoon a day to your routine. Seriously.
